Afghanistan; a printing season[ 14-May-2006] : The image that comes to mind is of war and ruins but Afghanistan, behind this veil of horror and despair, is home to a people who want to rebuild what remains of their country. Such devotion can also be seen in the printing sector. The Afghan print industry is still very young and unrefined yet it is full of energy and drive. The Afghan print industry is in dire need of investment, technical know-how, management, and marketing; this is good news for those Iranians who are looking for new investment opportunities. Of course such opportunities are not totally risk free. One such Iranian, whom for the past few years has been dealing with the Afghan people and was in charge of Heidelberg training programs in that country is Mr. Kamran Teimour-Nejad, the managing director of Hamoon software. We will have a friendly chat with him to better understand the needs and means of Afghanistan’s print industry.
